These families built spectacular Greek Revival, Tudor and Victorian mansions using granite, sandstone and other native Colorado materials. Molly Brown – legendary Titanic survivor  was among the neighborhoods prominent residents and her mansion still stands on Pennsylvania Street. After the Silver Crash of 1893, many Capitol Hill mansions were converted into boarding houses. More modest homes were constructed in this era including the Denver Square, Queen-Anne style homes and Neoclassical style dwellings. Today Capitol Hill is still a eclectic mix of luxury homes as well as residence for middle class workers.
